
Strahinja Djokic

Strahinja Djokic was born in Novi Sad, Serbia in 1991 and took his first singing lessons at the age of 16. Since 2010 he has been studying at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Prof. Biljana Gorunovic. Scholarships enabled him, among other things, to take part in the course for vocal technique and interpretation at the Institute for Musicology »O. Vecchi Tonelli« of the New Bulgarian University.
Strahinja was supported by the Melany Bugarinović and Daughter Mirjana Kalinović-Kalin Foundation from 2010 to 2014. In 2014 he made his debut as Il Carceriere in Puccini's Tosca at both the National Theater in Belgrade and the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad. He is also a winner of several competitions such as the “National singing competition for young singers” in Belgrade in 2011 and 2013. In 2018, Strahinja was the winner of the Schloss Rheinsberg chamber opera, where he appeared as a hermit in “Der Freischütz”.
