The bass Daeyoung Kim, born in Korea in 1980, made his debut on the Seoul opera stage as Sarastro (“The Magic Flute”) at the age of 19. From 2002 to 2005 he studied singing at the National University of the Arts in Korea, before completing his diploma and master class with Siegfried Jerusalem at the University of Music in Nuremberg from 2008 to 2011. During his training he also worked with Simon Yang, Bonaldo Giaiotto and Enza Ferrari, among others.
